Mayday! Mayday! Spitfire Down!

Here are the pics of my Spitfire damage! First flight it was and a bit windy. Shouldn't have taken the chance till a day like today with no wind.. Ah well never mind...

It's been a while I guess but I've repaired my Spitfire. Here are the pics. I'm now just waiting for another bright calm day. Only finished it off today. I put in the new firewall frame, not too much trouble. Have added a bit of sellotape on the inside of the fuse around the front end. Also glued some foam on the right side where it was creased and rubbed it down. Filled in a hole in the bottom nose area with foam too. Got some Humbrol model paints and repainted. Not quite the exact colours but OK. Had more trouble with putting the exhausts on with the new cowling than anything. A bit awkward but got there. Also added a bit of balsa to the inside of the fuse around the battery bay to strenghten. So now all back together and awaiting a day to fly again, hopefully with no more damage.
