More Information
If not one of the most successful fighters of the Pacific Theatre during World War 2, the F4U Corsair was easily the most recognisable with its distinctive cranked “inverted gull wing” designed to allow sufficient ground clearance to accommodate the large propeller without the need for extra long landing gear.
The Corsair comes ready painted in an authentic tri-colour scheme as used by the US Navy and also features the correct early red outlined “stars and bars” insignia together with a painted pilot figure.
Powered by a 480 size motor the Corsair has very spirited warbird performance allowing rolls, loops and high speed beat-ups to be performed with ease.
With the 11.1volt 1800Mah Li-Po battery, flight duration is over 10 minutes.
The Corsair comes with fixed landing gear with a steerable tail-wheel for positive ground handling. The landing gear is easily removable should you wish to enhance the scale looks of the model in the air and optional landing skids are included so that the Corsair can be landed safely on the ground minimising the risk of damage to the underside.
An illustrated assembly guide completes this unique warbird model that can be ready for “combat” in the time it take to charge the battery!
(The Corsair is not a beginners model and is recommended for advanced flyers only.)
