The new Firebird Commander 2 is a complete ready-to-fly package that makes learning to fly as simple as can be. The Commander II features X-port technology which allows plug-and-play accessories like the Sonic Combat Module and Aerial Drop Module to be installed.
The Commander 2 features HobbyZone's Anti Crash Technology. Two sensors on the fuselage (one on the top and one on the bottom) monitor the position of the ground and the sky while the plane is flying level. If the attitude of the plane gets into a steep dive the sensor will detect this and react to the danger by cutting the motor temporarily. The angle and pitch of the plane will then be corrected pulling it out of the dive and helping to prevent the plane from crashing. Because ACT knows how the plane is oriented, HobbyZone’s engineers can give the pilot greater control while simultaneously providing better protection than previous systems. The ACT function can also be disabled so that more experienced pilots can be in full control, of the flight.
In addition to ACT, the Commander 2 has a soft rubber nose and flexi-steel landing gear just in case of a bumpy landing.
For added fun the Commander 2 has X-Port technology which allows pilots to use the exciting range of plug in accessories such as the Sonic Combat Module, Aerial Drop Module (to drop bombs and parachutes) or the Night Flight Module that illuminates the model to allow for night flying!
